The Lufthansa Group presently has over 250 new, fuel-efficient aircraft on its order list, including 100 long-haul aircraft of the newest design, including the most recent aircraft order. The latest aircraft in the Lufthansa Group fleet use up to 35% less fuel and produce proportionately lower CO₂ emissions than their predecessors. Through reduction and compensating measures, the Group hopes to cut its net CO₂ emissions in half by 2030 compared to 2019 and reach a neutral CO₂ balance by 2050.
